About Erika
Erika Jantzen graduated from Georgia State University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. While attending the university she wrote feature articles for the GSU newspaper, The Signal, and won an award for her work as creator and editor of Longhorn Steakhouse’s corporate newsletter, The Bongo Hotline.
After graduation she continued her career in corporate communications by working as a public relations liaison for several Atlanta based non-profit organizations. In 2013 No Ordinary Fire took first place in the Northeast Georgia Writers fiction competition.
Also a massage therapist and Reiki practitioner, Erika trained under Tracy Walton, the creator of the oncology massage protocol, in 2009. She now volunteers at the University Cancer and Blood Center in Athens, GA administering foot massage to patients in the infusion department.
